Markyate, Hertfordshire

A private Tudor estate in Hertfordshire.

The estate

Markyate Manor stands on a hillside above its own parkland: a house of red brick, flint and stone, begun in 1539 on the site of a twelfth century priory.

Today it is a private estate of 70 acres, available by arrangement for film, photography and occasions. The owners manage every hire themselves.
